The River Falls Police Department is committed to working in partnership with the community. As reflected in our Mission Statement, which is to protect with courage and serve with compassion, we provide quality police service while working towards solutions to contemporary community problems.
The Department staffs 23 sworn police officers, including the Chief of Police. The Department is also supported by three civilian staff members. In addition to an Administrative Division, the Department has a Patrol Division and an Investigative / Youth Services Division.
The Department also includes a Police Reserve Unit with an authorized strength of 21 members. These Reserve Officers support the Police Department during community events and other activities.

The Police Department has released this list of property that has been turned into our department. If you believe an item on the list is yours, please contact Investigator Knutson by phone at 715-425-0909 to identify and claim your property. Property needs to be claimed by June 25, 2018.
The River Falls Police Department collects expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications. City residents are encouraged to bring these items to the Police Department for proper disposal. This is a "no questions asked" policy. This program is free and available to all to use.
