PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
City of River Falls Plan Commission and City Council
Cascade Avenue Concept Plan
January 29, 2008, at 6:30 p.m.
Public Library Lower Meeting Room.
The City of River Falls, in conjunction with the University of
Wisconsin-River Falls (UW-RF) and the Wisconsin Department of
Transportation (WisDOT), has developed a Concept Plan for Cascade Avenue
from Spruce Street to Wasson Lane. Three public meetings have been held.
Public input into the process and public comments on problems and
potential solutions took place in the spring. A second meeting, in
September, 2007, discussed the pros and cons of several concepts. At the
third meeting in November, a preferred concept developed by the
Technical Committee based on the previous public input was presented and
discussed.
The preferred concept has been refined and modified based on the
comments received at the third meeting or submitted though other means.
A final public meeting will be held as a special joint meeting of the
City Council and Plan Commission on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 6:30
p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at the River Falls Library. The
Agenda for this meeting is as follows:
- Introductions
- Presentation of preferred concept
- Comments from the Public
- Discussion, deliberation and questions from Plan Commission and
City Council
- City Council consideration of resolution approving Cascade
Avenue Concept Plan.
- Adjourn
