Site 4, on Sumner Creek, was selected because it is downstream of the potential development impacts from the Sterling Ponds Development.

Location:  It is located in Sumner Creek, downstream from Sterling Ponds in the west end of the culvert under CTH U.  It is deployed in a pool of standing water.  Because of the very intermittent creek flow at this location, the May-September temperatures at Site 4 primarily documented the water temperature fluctuations that occurred in this isolated pool.

Monitor 4A is located in Sumner Creek near the confluence with the Kinnickinnic River.

Monitoring Data:

Temperature

Base Flow Survey (Site 4A)

Adjustments to the temperature monitoring location  will need to be made in 2005 to assure the ability to recognize a flow condition.
