The Ol' Neighborhood

The corner of Maple and Fremont St. has been a location for education in River Falls since 1856. Pictured here is Meyer Middle School. The River Falls Academy was the first school to occupy this site until it burned in 1879. The school was rebuilt and burned down again in 1929. It was again replaced and sits as the current structure. The previous two schools were able to accomedate all grades in the city's early years.

This turn of the century home is located across from the middle school on the northeast corner of Fremont and Maple St.
