Over fifty feet below the swinging bridge rushes the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic. This is a view to the northwest. On the east bank, and not far upstream, sat the intermittently used Cascade Mill. Built in 1867, the grist mill turned saw mill was used to aid in the process of making wooden beehives. The mill was dismantled in the 1920's as the South Fork's flow became less powerful. Just beyond the trees is the confluence of the South Fork and Kinnikinnic River. |

These pristine falls of the South Fork are tucked away behind the Boy Scout lodge at the end of Vine St. |
