The view looking northward at the west side of Main St. reveals several thriving businesses. Included in these are a bridal shop and furniture store. In the 1950's, Main St. was home to automobile garages and dealerships. Many such businesses are now located at the outskirts of town.

Mid-way down the west side of Main St. is Veterans Park. The park is home to summer concerts featuring small ensembles.

To the south of Veterans Park are numerous Main St. businesses. One notable Main St. institution is the white building on the left known as The Falls Theatre. For not much more than $10 a family of four can see a recently released film - popcorn and soda included.
