The West Side of Main Street
Between Elm and Walnut St.

The west side of Main St. looking south features a variety of small business mainstays. Such businesses include a barber shop, insurance agency and a tavern.

Now an apartment building with restaurants below, these buildings served as a hotel for hundreds of travellers during the 1880's thru the first half of this century. Today, a cafe is located where the main lobby used to be. The "Gladstone", as it is known, sits on the northwest corner of Walnut and Main St.

In the last century, Lund's hardware store has sold everything from branding irons to hot air popcorn poppers. This one time carriage and horse harness outlet has remained on the corner of Walnut and Main St. for over a century.
