CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL – meeting convened at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Members present: Mayor Don Richards, Susan Reese, Todd Schultz, Erin Tomlinson, Ellen Smith, David Cronk, Sandy Bowen, Reid Wronski

Members absent: Scott Morrissette

There was a quorum present at all times.

Staff present: Tony Steiner, Planner

The Plan Commission met in a workshop setting immediately following a joint discussion with the Town of River Falls Extraterritorial Committee. The joint discussion was regarding a Small Wind Energy System Model Ordinance. The consensus was to have staff bring a draft ordinance before the committee for a public hearing and recommendation to Council.

Staff presented the Plan Commission with a draft ordinance regarding the Conservation Area. The Park Board has expressed an interest in revising the code to expand the regulations governing Foster Cemetery and other public areas that are deemed worthy of special recognition and protection. This issue also dovetails with the work the Environmental Task Force Committee is now engaged. A preliminary draft ordinance was presented to the Environmental Committee and the Park Board. Both gave support to the idea.

The Plan Commission consensus was to have staff bring the draft ordinance back for public hearing and recommendation to Council.
