1. Commissioners Scope of Work for 2008 (Continued from November 6, 2007 Meeting)

Wronski will be working on a long-range transportation plan to accommodate various modes of transportation within the City.

Tomlinson will work with the Historic Preservation Committee to determine the use of historic buildings, specifically those in the downtown area. She would also like to integrate the downtown alleys to combine function and use.

Reese will be focusing on establishing a maintenance plan to control invasive plant species. Part of the implementation will be to add language to the Shoreland Ordinance. She is also working with the Pierce County Extension Offices’ horticulture educator to coordinate training opportunities for Public Works employees. One possible project for Spring 2008 is to conduct a controlled burn along the pathway, which will help promote germination of native plants.

For the next meeting Planning Director Buddy Lucero will complete a summary of all projects, create a time schedule and suggest ideas how to assist in completing these projects. This information will also be given to the City Council.

Members also watched "A Kaleidoscopic History of River Falls," a DVD compiled and narrated by Ursula Peterson.

ADJOURNMENT – Workshop adjourned at 7:49 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jessica Urbach, Recording Secretary
