Community Development: Design Review Committee

Mission Statement

      The City of River Falls Design Review Committee’s mission is to review each public and private development proposed within the downtown area for compliance with the intent of the site design, architectural, landscape and streetscape design guidelines establish in the Downtown Design Plan.
      The Design Review Committee (DRC) consist of a City Council representative, a member of the Plan Commission, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Historic Preservation Commission, a representative of a development group, a board member of the Business Improvement District, a business or property owner in the downtown area, and a citizen member appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the Common Council.
      The Design Review Committee meets on the second Monday of the month of more often if necessary.  Meetings are open to the public and the meeting dates, time, and location are posted at the River Falls City Hall.
