Fish and river habitat studies are currently not included in the scope of the project.  However, the project staff will work closely with the Wisconsin DNR Area Fisheries Manager, UWRF staff and students and SEH staff to encourage and leverage such research in the study area.

Click here for information from the DNR fishery survey at Site 1.

Brown trout are the primary "trout" in the study area. Brook Trout (which are actually a Char) are very rare in this section, therefore the primary focus of this study is the thermal impacts on Brown Trout. All trout in the Kinnickinnic are wild fish. No stocking is done anywhere in the Kinnickinnic River system.

Please click the here for more information on the thermal tolerances for Brown Trout.
