Finance Department
The Finance Department is responsible for the management of financial operations of the city. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, payroll and benefits, purchasing and accounts payable, annual audit and tax collection.
Property Tax Collections
The City of River Falls collects the first installment of real estate taxes, due January 31st of each year. Payments may be mailed to: City of River Falls, 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, WI 54022 and must be postmarked no later than January 31st to be considered timely. Payments will also be accepted at City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Official Payments Corporation (www.officialpayments.com) will accept property tax payments made by credit card after December 1st of each year, however there is a fee for this service.
The second installment of property tax is due by July 31st to the county treasurer, at one of the following addresses:
