Welcome to the River Falls Public Library Kid's Page!
By visiting the Library you will find

  • Books for preschoolers thru sixth grade

  • Children’s magazines

The children’s area also offers:

  • Online card catalog for young readers to locate their favorite books
  • Multimedia computers with educational and learning games
  • A storytime room for special programs and activities
  • "Kid friendly" environment equipped with children’s furniture , stuffed animals and artwork
  • New books on display
  • A children’s restroom

PROGRAMS

  • Lapsit
    For children ages 2-3 and their caregiver. A language enrichment program held for six weeks in the fall,  spring, and summer. 
  • Preschool Storytimes
    For 3-5 year olds , beginning in mid September continuing thru mid December,  again in early January thru April , and during Summer Reading.
  • Special/ Family Programs
    Special programs with storytellers, authors musicians, other guest performers, as well as craft programs are held at various times throughout the year.
  • Summer Library Program
    A reading program for all ages of children (preschool - middle school) are held throughout the summer to promote reading . There are also many special programs that are held for all ages of children. Middle school and older students have the opportunity to become part of a Volunteer Program.

SERVICES

  • Daycare, preschool and elementary school classes, as well scout and other groups of children are invited to tour the Library. Make arrangements with the children’s librarian.
