list of WLA's notable authors. Includes the year the author was
noted, the birth and death dates of the authors, and links to
biographies of the more recent selections. Notable Wisconsin Authors is an annual project funded through the WLA Foundation which honors Wisconsin authors, past and present, for their literary contributions. Banta
Award Winners

many of the selections. The Banta Award is a medallion presented at each annual conference of the Wisconsin Library Association for literary achievement by a Wisconsin author The Elizabeth Burr Award
Includes a list of Elizabeth Burr winners from 1992 to
the present, criteria for the award, and a biography of Elizabeth
Burr. The Elizabeth Burr Award, presented for the first time at the 1992 conference of the Wisconsin Library Association, will be awarded each year at the Association's annual conference to a Wisconsin author/illustrator for distinguished achievement in children's literature.

Authors Biographies Project
The Minnesota Authors Biographies Project is a
collaboration between the Minnesota Historical Society, Metronet, and
the Minnesota Center for the Book. The pilot database provides
biographical sketches for 36 past and present authors. Each
entry is accompanied by a selected bibliography of significant works
by the author and lists of both print and web-based sources of
additional information about the author.
