Pierce County Historical Association
Since 1941, our volunteers have been dedicated to preserving the heritage of Pierce County, Wisconsin, through public education and collections of historically significant manuscripts, artifacts, documents, and books. We provide research assistance at our office and through mail and email requests. The PCHA office and archives are located in the village of Ellsworth, established as the Pierce County seat in 1861. We own and operate two history sites in Bay City, Wisconsin, maintain an 1885 rural schoolhouse at the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth, and oversee a pre-history era symbol on a bluffside near Hager City.

River Falls Area Research Center & University Archives
One of fourteen research facilities in a statewide network coordinated by the Wisconsin Historical Society in partnership with the University of Wisconsin System. The River Falls Area Research Center and the University Archives operate within one facility but are two distinct entities, each with their own collections.

The Wisconsin Stories Project
Wisconsin Stories is a partnership between the Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS) and Wisconsin Public Television (WPT). Wisconsin Stories is a 20-part series highlighting intriguing tales about the state, its people and its past. Wisconsin Stories grew out of the well-received, award-winning work the WHS and WPT did to mark the state's Sesquicentennial in 1998.
