How to search the MORE catalog and place or cancel a hold (or a reserve)
From the library's webpage, click on Search the Catalog in the upper left hand corner.

Or go directly to the MORE catalog search page at http://www.more.lib.wi.us/search/

Click on the type of search you would like to do such as Author, Title, Subject, Keyword, etc.
After you have clicked on the type of search you would like to do, you will
be on a search page.
In this example, you are on a keyword search.
Type in your search words. (In this example cowboy and weakness.)
Click on Search

After you click on search, you will see a list of results.
Ignore the Mark column. Do NOT click in the Mark column.
Click on the
words in the list.

You can also limit your search by library.
Click on the arrow to the left of the search button and you will have a pull down list
of libraries.
After you limit your search to just one library, click on search again.

After you have clicked on your selection, you will see where your selection
is located, what the call number is, and the status (if it is available or when
it due).
In this example, the book is in the River Falls Fiction area, the
call number is F Hou, and it is available.

If you want to place a hold on this book, click on the purple Request Item
button

You will then need to type your first and last name and library barcode number.

To protect your barcode number, you will see ***************
stars rather than your actual barcode numbers.
Also, if you have spaces between the numbers on your barcode number, skip the
spaces and type only the numbers.
For example, 2 3456 789123456 should be typed in as 23456789123456.
To select the pickup location (the library where you want to pick up the book), click on the little arrow to get a pull-down menu and then click on the library.

Click on Submit this request.

You will see a confirmation that your request was successful!

You can click on Previous Page to return to the what you where looking at before you clicked on Request Item or Start Over to return to the list of search options.
To cancel your hold, you need to first view your library record.

Once you are in your library record, you will see a list of your holds.

Click on the Request(s) outstanding

You will see a list of your requests.
To cancel just one hold, click on the box in the CANCEL column for the holds to
cancel.
Then click on the Cancel Selected Items button.
To cancel all your holds, the click on Cancel All button.

Now your hold is removed.
