Roger D. Leque, Chief of Police		Welcome to our web site. The development of this site is intended not only to help educate the community, but also increase your interactive involvement with us. Chief Roger Leque came to the River Falls Police Department in 1978 as a patrol officer. He served as patrol sergeant and Captain before being appointed Chief of Police in 1991. He is a graduate of the 180th session of the FBI National Academy and received the 2002 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI.
The River Falls Police Department staffs 22 sworn police officers, including the Chief of Police. The department is also supported by seven civilian staff members. In addition to an Administrative Division, the department has a Patrol Division and an Investigative / Youth Services Division. The department also includes a Police Reserve Unit with an authorized strength of 21 members. These reserve officers support the police department during community events and other activities. The department is committed to working in partnership with the community. As reflected in our mission statement, we provide quality police service while working towards solutions to contemporary community problems.
