Community Policing Information

The River Falls Police Department is committed to a community policing philosophy as demonstrated by our neighborhood police district assignments.  In September and October of 1995, citizens in five (5) separate districts were surveyed to identify their perceptions of crime and fear of crime in their neighborhood.  Information received was summarized and provided to officers assigned to each neighborhood district.  Individual officers assigned to districts continue to respond to calls for service citywide.  Response is conducted through foot patrol, partnership building and problem solving.

The department recently completed another survey, similar to the one in 1995, to determine if the public's perceptions have changed.  You may view the survey results by following this link to the 2000 Community Analysis Survey.
