Test Dates - 2008

 

Governor Doyle has proclaimed April 21-25, 2008 as Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin.  The statewide tornado drill is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008

The National Weather Service will be conducting a statewide tornado drill on Thursday, April 24.  The emergency warning sirens will be sounded on this day at 1:40 PM and again at 6:55 PM. 

 If severe weather should be present in the state on the day of the drill, the test watch and warning will be postponed until Friday, April 25 with the same time schedule.  If severe weather is forecast for Friday, the drill will be cancelled.

TORNADO WARNING:  A tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar.  If a tornado warning is issued for your area and the sky becomes threatening, move to your pre-designated place of safety.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING:  Severe thunderstorms are occurring.
