River Falls maintains a severe weather outdoor siren network designed
to provide generalized warnings to citizens of impending severe weather

sirens.
If there is impending severe weather, including a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning, the River Falls Police Department authorizes activation of the siren system for public notification. Once this system is activated, it may be reactivated several times to continue the warning as conditions or time permits. Citizens are encouraged to be on the alert for hazardous weather conditions and the following is recommended:
It should be noted that once the local weather siren system is activated, there will be no notification indicating an all clear. It is the citizen's responsibility to monitor weather conditions, news media, etc..., making their own judgment decisions in regards to all clear decisions. The following link to the National
Weather Service provides access to several information resources,
including information on thunderstorms / lightning and tornadoes.
The police department also has access to some of these materials.
Please contact the River Falls Police Department at 715-425-0909 for
