During the past week, several elderly River Falls residents have received phone calls indicating they had won a large amount of money. The caller states they will deliver a check to the persons residence. In one case, the caller stated the person would have to pay a delivery fee in order to receive the money. The River Falls Police Department believes these calls to be a scam and they appear to be targeting the elderly.
