The City provides a compost facility where resident can bring their yard waste.  The compost site is located at 901 W. Locust Street (near the River Falls School Bus Garage).  This site will be open beginning April 5, 2008. Listed below is the 2008 schedule:

• April 5 – May 31:

  • Sunday - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Thursday - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• June 3 – Sept. 30:

  • Tuesday - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Thursday - 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• October 2 – Nov. 16:

  • Sunday - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Thursday - 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 USE OF THE COMPOST SITE IS FOR CITY RESIDENTS ONLY.

An attendant will be on-site to monitor waste and residency identification.  The site will be open only during the days and hours posted.
