The Public Works Department oversees the maintenance of city streets, buildings, parks and all city department vehicles/equipment.

The Public Works Department also maintains the city compost site, an oil recycling barrel and providing a spring cleanup for residents.

Some tasks of the Public Works Department are:

• Street sweeping

• Snow plowing

• Mowing parks

• Installing signs

• Maintaining the storm water system

• Tree planting/trimming

• Fleet maintenance service

The Public Works garage is located at 950 Benson Street. Calls to the Public Works Department are taken at City Hall, 123 East Elm Street at  425-0900 ext 146.
