Dawn graduated in 1992 from UW-Eau Claire with a BS major in Communication Arts and an Advertising minor. After graduating, Dawn worked at WEAU TV-13 in Eau Claire for 2 years. There she worked on the nightly news broadcasts. In 1994, Dawn went to TeleVideo Productions in Eau Claire where she spent the next five years Producing/Directing corporate videos, safety and training videos, sales and marketing videos, and broadcast commercials. She also spent the last year at TeleVideo as the Production Coordinator in addition to her producer/director duties. Dawn took on the challenge of RFC-TV's Cable Access Coordinator in February 2000.
In April 2010, the city council approved the new position of Communications Coordinator that will be filled by Dawn Wills. Dawn has been managing the public and government access channel for the city since 2000. Dawn will still continue her duties at River Falls Community Television (RFC-TV) along with performing a variety of marketing, communication and public relations activities for the City of River Falls. “I’m excited to be the Communications Coordinator for the City. This seems like a natural fit for me”. Last year Dawn coordinated the launch of the new city web site and most recently she has been working on the city’s intranet for employees. Plus Dawn has also been a part of the city newsletter team and she is assisting with the city employee newsletters. “Every day I’m doing something different and I enjoy working with the public. When you are producing communication pieces and videos on a wide range of topics you get to learn a little something about everything!”
