Revisit implementation of planned Gerrard Development
1300 S. Main housing project.
There are many more open development areas in River Falls than the chosen site.
The impact on the surrounding neighborhood will cause traffic congestion, parking problems, noise, increased crime and disrupt the peaceful enjoyment of this neighborhood.
Suggest two larger open sites on Cemetery Road near ice arena or the cemetery, which are much more conducive to a 50+ unit, 2-story housing complex with underground parking.
Multiple neighbors in the proposed area are already considering selling their homes rather than living near this project.
The City Administration owes it to the existing property owners to consider how this project will negatively impact the peaceful enjoyment of their homes.
