Non-Emergency Citizen Self Report
The citizen self-reporting system is available for you to report non-emergency incidents that are not actively occurring. If you require immediate assistance, please call the River Falls Police Department at (715) 425-0909. If this is an emergency, DIAL 911.
To file a citizen self-report form online, the incident must meet the following criteria:
Occurred within the City of River Falls Police jurisdiction
The suspect and / or vehicle is unknown
No injury or force was used during the incident, or threat of injury or force
Theft or damage to property does not exceed $2,500
If your incident does not meet the above criteria, please call the River Falls Police Department at (715) 425-0909.
The online self-report can be used to report the following:
• Civil Dispute (i.e. Child Custody Issue Documentation, Property Sale or Ownership Dispute)
• Damage to Property (does not include vehicle crashes)
• Drug Information
• Forgery / Fraud / Identity Theft (i.e. Stolen Credit Card, Unauthorized Charges, Financial Scam, Stolen Personal Identifying Information)
• Landlord / Tenant Issue
• Lost / Missing Property
• Past Suspicious Activity
• Theft (Less than $2,500 and Excluding Theft of Vehicle or Break-In to Building)
PLEASE NOTE: Vehicle accident reports may be completed directly with the Department of Transportation using their Driver Report of Crash Form

The citizen self-report form is an official River Falls Police document, which will become the official police report for your incident. If you have insurance coverage, this form will assist you in filing a claim. You must include your full name, date-of-birth and full contact information for this report to be officially filed. Please provide as much information as possible. To protect your private data, however, we will not collect or request Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, medical information, passport numbers, passwords, tax ID number, or financial information of any kind, including, without limitation, bank account information, routing numbers, credit card numbers using this form. If additional information is required, an officer will contact you.
Your report will be reviewed within 5 business days. If requested, you will be contacted by telephone or email with your case number, associated paperwork, or for additional information that may be required.
