Adopt-A-Pond

Adopt a Pond group

We need your help!

Want to take an active role in keeping our local waterways clean? Adopt a stormwater pond!

Our Adopt-A-Pond program has been in place for 17 years and encourages city residents, community groups, and businesses to get outside, connect with the environment, and protect our natural resources.

It's simple:

  1. Adopt an available pond for a two-year commitment.
  2. Get together with family or friends at your pond two times per year.
  3. Clean up debris, garbage, or weeds, and make sure the outfalls aren't clogged.
  4. Submit your cleaning/inspection report.

That's it! The City will provide garbage bags and pickup from the pond at the end of your cleanup.
