Candidates: Getting on the Ballot

This Spring there will be elections for the following:                                            

  • Mayor
  • Alderperson At Large (2 seats)
  • Alderperson District 4     
  • Municipal Court Judge

Deadlines & Due Dates

Deadlines and due dates for mayor, municipal judge, and alderperson are as follows:

  • The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1.
  • Nomination papers are due by 5 p.m. the first Tuesday in January (if this day lands on a holiday, they are due the next business day).
  • A notification of non-candidacy is due the second Friday before the nomination papers deadline (if this day lands on a holiday, the notification is due the next business day) .
