Yard Waste Drop Site and Free Electronic Recycling

The City of River Falls operates a yard waste drop site at 901 W. Locust Street where River Falls residents may bring their yard waste.
Please assist the City of River Falls by self-monitoring the site and reporting any violations when an attendant is not on duty.
*Please treat this site with respect as if it were your own.
Rules
- Use of this site is for City of River Falls residents only.
- Be prepared to provide a recent River Falls Municipal Utilities (RFMU) billing statement and photo ID to gain entry.
- Allowable material is limited to residential yard waste, shrubbery, and tree branch debris (no large logs, root balls, or trunks). Do not bring unwanted or banned materials to the site.
- Remove material from plastic and other non-compostable bags. A dumpster is provided for disposal of these items.
- The site is monitored by security cameras and illegal dumping may subject you to a fine.
- Compost and woodchips are available at the site for City residents on a first-come, self-serve basis.
Hours
The yard waste drop site is open for the season. Weather permitting, the operating hours are:
- Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays: 8 a.m. - dusk.Done Editing
General Operating Schedule
The yard waste drop site typically opens in April and closes for the season on November 30 (weather permitting). Hours may vary from year to year. Except for specific occasions (e.g., Christmas tree collection), the site is closed from December through March. The yard waste drop site is closed on holidays.
